Ben and his Dad

AUGUST 2009

Just a lazy Sunday. I was just sitting on the couch watching Ben and Michael playing around and took a few snapshots. Ben adores his "Da Da" and loves rough housing with him on the floor. They are two peas in a pod.

Wild Animal Safari

AUGUST 2009 - Wild Animal Safari

Ok, so it's not Africa, but this Wild Animal Safari in Pine Mountain, GA (close to Calloway Gardens) is pretty cool! We saw Zebra, Giraffe, Deer, Bull, Buffalo, Lions, Tiger, Camel and all sorts of stuff. The best part is most of the animals just walk right up to your car. This super cute Giraffe came poking his head through our sun roof. There is also a really funny picture of it drooling on "Ma Ma Miller's" face (Michael's Mom).

We had a great time, and I highly recommend it for kids. (Though Ben was a bit too young to really enjoy it yet... us Big Kids did).

Granddaddy and Uncle Thomas Visit

July 31, 2009

Granddaddy and Uncle Thomas come for a visit! It was Thomas's last day at Hewitt, so he had to come to Atlanta to turn in his computer. Dad rode with him so he could see Ben and go to a Deer Hunting show here in town. Ben LOVES his Granddaddy and Uncle T! Ben also loved the Mickey Mouse Dad brought him and it one of the few words he says now. "Mickey". Oh and another word he says "Grand DA DA"... much to my Mom's dismay. He doesn't call her "Gran" too much yet.

Splash Park

JULY 2009 - Splash Park

We found this wonderful Splash Park (new addition) to Riverside Park in Roswell. Ben absolutely loved splashing around in the water. We also had time to enjoy the swings and let Ben just run around. I think he definately looks older than 12 months in these pictures. But it was a nice family day.

Zoo Atlanta

June 2009

We took Benjamin to the Zoo for the first time here in Atlanta. Jennifer had some work associates that were here from India, so they came along to the zoo with us. Ben loved the elephants, zebras, giraffes, monkeys, lions, silver-back gorillas and panda bears!

Benjamin's First Birthday Party

June 13, 2009

We have a pool party for friends and family in Alabama for Benjamin's First Birthday. We had a ton of friends and family at the party. Ben had such a great time running around and swimming. He was overwhelmed by all his gifts. He had a great time eating cake and had just a great birthday party!

Happy 1st Birthday Benjamin!

June 10, 2009

Benjamin turns one today!!! We made it! One whole year. I can't believe how fast it's gone by. Now my little "baby" is getting to be a toddler. I still can't believe it. I can honestly say, I would never have believed how much your life could change in just one year. However, I guess any first time parent would agree with me. It's the most awesome and challenging year of my life. I've never been as tired or as happy as I have been in the last 12 months. Ben is the light of my life. Happy Birthday baby boy!

His Birthday actually fell on a Wednesday, so I baked him a cake and we just celebrated Michael, Ingrid, Ben and I.

Snapshots in May

May 2009

I took a few pictures of Ben in May. I thought these turned out pretty cute and caught some of his favorite expressions pretty well.

Mother's Day Weekend

May 8, 2009

We go to visit my parents in New Hope for Mother's Day Weekend. "Gran" and "Granddaddy" love to spend time with their only grandchild. Here are a few picture of their house and them pulling Ben in a wagon.

A-Day Game in Tuscaloosa

April 18, 2009

We take Benjamin to Tuscaloosa for the very first time! We also take our Nanny, Ms. Ingrid with us. We love hanging out on the Quad and taking Ben to Bryant-Denny Stadium. Luckily, it was his nap time so he just slept away with over 75,000+ screaming fans around him.

Dunwoody Lemonmade Days

April 13, 2009,

We went to a local festival here where we live in Dunwoody called Lemonade Days. Ben had a great time riding the merry-go-round.

Easter 2009

April 12, 2009

Michael's parents came to visit us in Atlanta for Easter. Aunt Niki and Uncle Thomas (Jennifer's brother) mailed Ben a HUGE Easter basket. We all went to church on Sunday. Here are a few pictures from Easter Weekend.
